Washington: In an attempt to demonstrate that Americans will "never surrender" to tyranny, former US President Donald Trump claimed on Wednesday that the "corrupt" government is trying to imprison him for more than 500 years through politically motivated trials. He is requesting campaign donations to support this claim.

With Crooked Joe's corrupt DOJ having unlawfully INDICTED yours truly yet again, reports indicate that I could now face a combined 561 YEARS in prison from the Left's witch hunts," reads a portion of Trump's fundraising email, which was made public by several US media outlets. Trump refers to Joe Biden, the current president, as "Crooked Joe.

By attempting to lock you up for six lifetimes, someone can only convey one message: FEAR. the worry that if you support the ONLY candidate who puts you first, the current Marxist regime in Washington might harass, indict, and even ARREST you as well, the email continued.

Asserting that the "endless witch hunts" are not about him but rather robbing Americans of their freedom, Trump urged supporters to "peacefully stand with me during these dark times."

On Tuesday, six charges connected to the riot at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021 were laid out in a 45-page indictment by a grand jury in Washington, DC. According to Smith, Trump made false claims about irregularities in the 2020 election despite knowing they were untrue, which led to "an intense national atmosphere of mistrust and anger, and erod[ing] public faith in the administration of the election."

According to Smith, one of Trump's "conspiracies" targeted "a bedrock function of the United States federal government."

Last week, Smith also accused the 45th president of obstructing justice for allegedly destroying proof that he had secret documents at his Florida mansion, Mar-a-Lago. Trump has also been sued by a New York court for "falsifying business records" regarding alleged payments of hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Trump is currently far ahead of all other candidates for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024. The Democrats have decided not to host any debates between Biden and his two opponents, Marianne Williamson and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Democrats maintain that all of Trump's allegations of irregularities in the 2020 election are wholly untrue and that Joe Biden legitimately received 81 million votes, the most in US history. Time magazine ran a story in February 2021 about a "extraordinary shadow effort" to "fortify" the election by bringing together anti-Trump Republicans and Democrat operatives.
