The state government of telangana working on new irrigation project " Sitaram Project". in which government planning to provide water before giving the schedule to The Sitarama Lift Irrigation Scheme,and it  has quickly tracked the work of the three pump houses, which is an important part of the project. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (CM KCR) have asked to pump  speed up the work earlier. 

Recently on Wednesday, state Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar met CM KCR at Pragati Bhavan in Hyderabad and discussed ongoing development work in the joint district. KCR asked the minister about the details of the funds and works allocated so far in Khammam Corporation and other municipalities. The work sanctioned under the corporation is almost complete. Some are under construction and they are also promised to be completed soon. He will be informed of the work of the Sitaramproject from time to time. The state government has been able to drain 6.20 lakh acres of land with godavari water and asked them to monitor their responsibilities. The minister is accompanied by Sattupalli and Illendu MLAs Sandra Venkataveeraiah and Banotu Haripriyanayak.

For your information let us share that in addition to irrigation, drinking water and industrial supply are also prepared for Khammam and Bhadra-Kothagudem districts under this scheme. It will fix the defects in planned use of Nagarjuna Sagar Left Canal Vira, Paleru and other minor irrigation projects.
