Here is wht Charanamrit is given three times:

There are 3 types of sorrows in the world. The first is Adhibhautik (physical), the second is supernatural (Adhidaivik) and the third is spiritual (Adyatamik). Under Adhibhautik, different types of disorders or diseases arise in the human body. Whereas in Adhidaivik, suffering is given by the deity. Like- hailstorm, accident, heavy rain and no rain, earthquake, lightning. Along with this, the third, spiritual or Adyatamik i.e. mind and intellect should not work. In such a situation, all the three types of sorrows are relieved by the presence of Charanamrit.
