New Delhi: Twitter has started bowing to India's rules. Twitter appointed Vinay Prakash as its resident grievance officer and has also submitted a monthly report on action taken against Twitter accounts in several cases. Twitter is yet to appoint two other officers under the country's new IT rules.

The same now appears to be coming on the micro-blogging site Twitter Ahista-Ahista route. He has appointed a resident grievance officer under the rules of the country. Twitter appointed Vinay Prakash as its resident grievance officer and has also submitted a monthly report on the action taken against Twitter accounts in many cases but Twitter is yet to appoint two other officers under the country's new IT rules.

At the same time, Twitter was constantly in controversy for failing to comply with the new IT rules in India. Under the new IT rules, social media companies with more than 50 lakh users need to appoint three important appointments, chief compliance officer, nodal officer, and complaint officer, these three officers should be residents of India. The company had said in the Delhi High Court on Thursday that the complaint officer under the new IT rules is in the process of appointing a Residence Grievance Officer and hopes to do so on or before July 11.
