Regarding the case, police said, "Last Thursday, the girl fled from the flat and called the police control room, after which a case was registered under Section 376 (Rape) 343 (wrongful imprisonment) of the Indian Penal Code.''
The incident came to light when Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has faced criticism for his remarks last Wednesday. In fact, on the night of July 24, two minor girls were raped on the South Goa beach and their parents were blamed by CM Pramod Sawant. In fact, Pramod Sawant had said, 'Parents should introspect. Why were their daughters roaming the beach after nightfalls?' The opposition has demanded an apology from him for his statement.
