On Friday: Two CPI(M) cadres were murdered by Trinamool Congress workers in post-poll aggression at Lodhna in Khandaghosh Assembly constitency .“SK Fazal Haque (56), a polling mediator of CPI(M), and Bookhiram Dal (56) were trodden up with lathis and iron rods by armed men as soon as they were returning home at about 8 PM last night”, Superintendent of Police Gaurab Sharma said.

“Both the injured men were taken to the Burdwan Medical College and Hospital where they died a few hours later”, he further added.

CPI(M) Zonal Committee Secretary Deshbandhu Hazra that both the party cadres had been bothered by Trinamool Congress workers.
Trinamool Congress Block President Alok Majhi, who too is  a party candidate for Galsi Assembly seat in the district, refused the charge.
The constituency goes to rural Burdwan area which went to poll on April 21.
