New Delhi: Two doses of the corona vaccine were successful in preventing 95 percent of deaths during the second wave of coronavirus. However, deaths among a vaccinator were 82 percent lower. The government cited a study conducted by the Indian Council that giving two doses of corona vaccine to high-risk policemen has succeeded in preventing 95 percent of coronavirus deaths in the second wave caused by delta variants.

NITI Aayog member Dr. VK Paul presented the research, which was conducted in Tamil Nadu. The study showed that the number of deaths due to corona infection among non-vaccinated policemen was 20, while that of one dose was seven percent and that of other dose takers was 4 percent. At the same time, the first dose of the vaccine was 82 percent of the vaccine's impact, compared to 95 percent among the two-dose takers.

This research is also important because it was conducted during the second wave, which was mostly inspired by the spread of delta variants. The findings of the study were presented on Friday by NITI Aayog member-health Dr. VK Paul. He also spoke about the importance of vaccination in preventing serious infections and deaths.
