Two minor scenes is asked to cut from Mirzya

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s film Mirzya starring debutant Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher in lead roles is based on popular Mirzya-Sahiban love epic.

The film with two minor cuts has been certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a ‘UA’ certificate. Children also can watch this film.

As per source on cutting off a scene, “A 12-year old boy is shown brandishing a loaded gun. The scene is not there to shock. It comes at a crucial juncture in the plot and is an integral part of the film’s dramatic core. But censor guidelines do not permit minors to handle arms and ammunition.”

Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra accept the cut without protest. “I believe the censor board needs to undergo several changes in its guidelines. But until those changes are implemented, the guidelines have to be followed."

And the other scene demanded to cut is quite hard to digest that a bottle of liquor was asked to be blurred. What is this??? And their thinking behind this???
