Srinagar: On Monday, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in the Rangreth region of Srinagar district, Central Kashmir. Terrorists and security officers were engaged in a shootout. After a joint team of police and security personnel cordoned off the area and conducted a search operation based on specific intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists, a shootout erupted.

As security forces closed in on the location where terrorists were hiding, they were met with a barrage of fire, which sparked the confrontation. Two terrorists who have not been recognised have been killed.

An unidentified terrorist had been slain in an encounter the day before in the Baragam region of Awantipora, Jammu & Kashmir. After receiving specific information regarding the presence of terrorists in the Baragam region of Awantipora in the south Kashmir district, security personnel conducted a cordon and search operation, according to a police official.
