New Delhi: Due to the Corona epidemic and lockdown, companies are beginning to have a huge impact. Recently, America and the world's largest gym brand Gold Gym have declared themselves bankrupt. Due to the lockdown, the world's largest cab service company, Uber, has also fallen. The company has announced that due to financial problems, it will have to remove hundreds of employees from the job.
Transport and cab service have suffered extensive losses due to lockdown worldwide. In a regulatory filing filed by Uber with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Wednesday, said, "Due to the economic challenges and uncertainty created by the coronavirus epidemic and its impact on business, the company plans to reduce its operating expenses."
The filing states that Uber is reducing its customer support and recruiters team due to lower trip volumes in its rides segment and the company's current hiring freeze. A total of 3700 full-time employees will be laid out for this. In a letter to the workers, the company's CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said, "With our ride trip volumes falling drastically, our need for in-person support, including communication operations, has reduced significantly and now there is enough work for recruiters."
