Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of running a bullet train between Ahmedabad to Mumbai has received a big blow. The shock came from Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. He said in an interview that the bullet train is not someone else's dream. The state government has a 25% share in the bullet train, while the center has 75%. He says that the roadmap for development is ready. Now not a single industry will go out, employment opportunities will increase.

The government which was 5 years before it was formed, has approved, constructed, prepared many such projects which later came out as white elephant and you postponed it. One of it is the bullet train project. Bullet trains will come in Maharashtra or not. In response to this question, Thackeray said, "The government's job is to develop. Okay. Recently, I inaugurated the second phase of the Nagpur Metro through video conferencing. The work is on, it is true. I have also postponed some projects. Must have done. It always seems to me that the priority of the development of the state should be fixed in view of the economic situation that was raised with the money issue. The primary needs are right now. It is not proper to just take someone without interest or give a loan at a low rate, so to take it on yourself and take away the land of the farmers, then these white elephants, which is not necessary, is absolutely not right."
