kherson: The Antonovsky bridge in Kherson over the Dnieper was shelled by the Ukrainian military for the second day in a row. According to Ivan Litomin, a war correspondent for the Izvestia TV channel, the attack was most likely launched from an American HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).
He claimed that numerous fresh shell craters had formed on the bridge. Three HIMARS missiles were probably launched. On Wednesday, the strike started around 4:00 am. Additionally, the shelling occurred the day before. No one was hurt in the attack; only Kherson's sole automobile bridge over the Dnieper River, the Antonovsky Bridge, sustained damage.
On July 19, the journalist had previously displayed the effects of an AFU missile attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station (HPP) territory.
Viktor Vasiliev, the head of the Kakhovka regional administration's press office, claims that this one implies that the Kiev authorities are attempting to destroy all the infrastructure that they are no longer hopeful of recovering. He continued by saying that if the Kakhovka lock is damaged, navigation along the Dnieper will be halted permanently. Additionally, many residents of the Kherson region were left without access to gas as a result of the missile strike.
The same day, Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the military-civilian administration (CAA) of the Kherson region, claimed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had struck the Kherson region roughly 3.7 thousand times since the start of the Russian Federation's special operation to protect the Donbass.
During a Russian special operation to defend the Donbass, the Kherson region of Ukraine, which borders Crimea, came entirely under the control of the Russian military in mid-March. Denazification and demilitarisation of the Kyiv regime are the main objectives of the Russian military. Moscow emphasised that only military infrastructure was the target of the attacks.
Due to shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the situation in the area deteriorated in the middle of February. The Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republic residents have been fighting the Ukrainian government since 2014 because they refused to accept the coup d'état's outcomes.
