KIEV:  Kiev is continuing to consult with its partners on a security guarantee framework, the Head of the Ukrainian President's Office, Andriy Yermak said. "Permanent consultations are ongoing... Many countries from many continents have stated their desire to be future guarantors as of today "On Monday, the media source quoted Yermak as saying.

According to Xinhua reports, the conceivable shape of the security guarantee should include a single multilateral framework agreement between all guarantor governments and a separate bilateral agreement between Ukraine and each guarantor.

Before the framework agreement can take effect, the guarantor countries must ratify it, Yermak said.

Kiev suggested signing a new international security guarantee treaty with Russia in late March during peace talks in Istanbul, Turkey. The treaty enshrines obligations for guarantor countries to support Ukraine with military assistance in the event of an attack.
