Ukraine Reports Destruction of 20 Russian Drones in Overnight Attack: In a recent development, Ukraine has disclosed that its air defense systems successfully neutralized 20 attack drones launched by Russia during an overnight assault. The incident occurred across seven Ukrainian regions, as confirmed by Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk on Tuesday.

The targeted areas encompassed southern regions such as Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson, as well as central regions like Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, and Vinnytsia, along with Lviv in the west. Oleshchuk conveyed this information through the popular messaging app Telegram.

According to Ukrainian military and regional authorities, the Russian forces employed Shahed drones in multiple waves, directing their attacks toward critical infrastructure and power facilities. Maksym Kozytskyi, the regional governor of Lviv, reported damage to a vital infrastructure facility due to the wreckage of one of the drones, leading to a fire outbreak.

Meanwhile, in the southern Odesa region, governor Oleh Kiper stated via Telegram that power lines suffered destruction caused by the drone debris. Additionally, Ukraine's Energy Ministry highlighted damage to equipment at an energy facility located in the central Poltava region.

This latest assault is part of a broader escalation, with Russia increasingly targeting Ukraine's power sector in recent weeks, focusing on energy-generating facilities and other essential infrastructure.

Furthermore, Ukraine's air force disclosed that Russia had launched four missiles from S-300 surface-to-air missile systems. However, no specifics were provided regarding the fate of these missiles.
