Moscow: The mayor of the Russian capital claimed that two drones had struck non-residential buildings in the city during the early hours of Monday when Russia claimed to have stopped a Ukrainian "terrorist act" on Moscow.

After promising to "retaliate" against a Russian missile attack on the Black Sea port of Odesa, Kyiv made the attack a day later.

The attempt by the Kyiv regime to commit a terrorist act by using two drones against targets on Moscow's territory was thwarted, according to the Russian defence ministry.

Two Ukrainian drones were destroyed by a collision. No one has lost their lives.

One drone crashed in Komsomolsky Prospekt, close to the Russian defence ministry, according to the TASS news agency, and another struck a business centre on Likhacheva Street, close to one of Moscow's main ring roads.

Sergei Sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow, reported that "non-residential" buildings were struck by drone attacks at around 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT). He stated that emergency personnel were on the scene and that there were no casualties.

The business centre can be seen in a video posted by the Russian news agency RIA Novosti with some of the tall building's top showing signs of damage. The surrounding road was blocked off.
