According to information received in this case, three people have died due to non-availability of alcohol and drinking of varnish and paint in Chengalpattu in Tamil Nadu amid the lockdown issued by Coronavirus. This matter is being told of last Sunday.

According to the reports, the three people have been identified as Shivshankar, Pradeep and Sivaraman and were taken to Chengalpattu Government Hospital in critical condition, but they succumbed there. Investigations into the matter have revealed that the three men were habitual drinkers and could not buy alcohol due to the lockdown, so they drank mix paint with varnish and lost their lives. According to reports, liquor shops have been closed for a long time and its lati are upset about this.
