Everyone must have seen a dream while sleeping. Sometimes we remember it and sometimes we forget partially or completely. At times, we wake up in the middle of a dream which lefts a residue in us. We get up slightly trembled or surprised pleasantly and the entire picture of the dream flashes out in few seconds. There are times where we fail in our attempt to recall our dreams. This is not a distressing issue anymore as the scientist has found an easy way to help us in remembering the dreams after we wake up. Intake of Vitamin B6 supplements before going to sleep will help us in remembering the dream.

According to research carried out by the University of Adelaide in Australia, Vitamin B6 intake will help a person to recall the dream. 100 participants from and around Australia volunteered in the study and they have taken supplements for five consecutive days. 240mg of Vitamin B6 was taken by each of them immediately before going to bed. The study was a randomized, double-blind, Placebo-controlled. However, it is explained that B6 intake has no control over the vividness and bizarreness of an individual’s dream. Still, there is no clear explanation about how B6 contributed to recalling the dream and the university said more research is being carried out to unveil the mystery.

Vitamin B6 known as Pyridoxine is one of the eight vitamins in the B-complex group. This vitamin can’t be generated inside the body and is obtained from an outside sources. It occurs naturally in Banana, Avocado, Spinach, Potato, Milk, Cheese, Eggs, Red Meat, Liver and Fish. This vitamin is actually linked to the proper functioning of our Nervous System and Immune Health.
