Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has increased the budget of the Games by about Rs 50 crore as compared to the previous year. This time the players have also received a big setback from the budget. The incentive amount they get has also been reduced.

1. 2826. 92 crores has been allocated to the Sports Ministry whereas in the revised budget for the year 2019-20 this allocation was 2776. 92 crores.

2 Khelo India budget has been increased to 312. 42 crores. In the year 2019-20, this budget was Rs. Crore. This has been increased to 890. 42 crores.

3. The amount of incentives and prizes to the players has been reduced considerably compared to last year. This amount has been reduced from Rs 496 crore to Rs 372 crore.

4. Sports Authority of India budget has also been reduced from Rs 615 crore to 500 crore.

5. Last year too, the budget for the repair work of Sai Stadium was reduced from 96 crores to 75 crores.

6. There has been no change in the budget of the National Welfare Fund of the players. Like last time, this time also his budget has been kept 2 crores.

7. The budget to increase sports facilities in Jammu and Kashmir has also been kept at 50 crore.

8. Lakshmi Bai National Institute of Physical Education has received 5 crores more than last time and its total budget has been 55 crores.

Apart from Khelo India, the Sports Ministry has given prominently place to the National Center for Sports Science and Research to be built at Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi in the sports budget. 75 crore has been earmarked for this research institute, which is 50 crore more than the previous year. 500 crores have come to the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Rs. 245 crores to the account of sports associations. However, in this year's revised budget, 615 crore came in the share of Sai and 300. 85 crore in the revised budget in the part of sports associations. In such a situation, there was nothing special about the Sai and sports associations responsible for the preparation of the players.

NDTL's budget reduced
In this budget, the banned NDTL from WADA has suffered. Its budget has been increased from 7. 5 crores to 2. 5 crores. At the same time, the budget of Nada has been increased from 7. 5 to 12. 5 crore. The reason for this is the increased expenditure due to the dope testing of the players engaged in preparations for the Olympics from Doha Lab in Qatar.
