Ahmedabad: Voting is going on today for the local body elections in Gujarat on Sunday. In such a situation, Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah have also reached Ahmedabad to vote. Here he will vote and along with corona infected Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will also vote. Vijay Rupani will go to the polls after wearing a PPE kit. Currently, in the state, voting is going in 6 municipal corporations Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vadodara, Surat, Bhavnagar, and Jamnagar. All preparations are completed and polling has started here from around 7 am today.

According to the information received, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reached Ahmedabad late Saturday night for voting in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also a voter of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, but so far no confirmation has come yet. Talking about Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, he will also vote today, but according to the Election Commission guidelines, he will go to Rajkot wearing a PPE kit after 5 pm. The corona test of the Chief Minister will be done today before going for voting.

After this test, he will reach Rajkot via ambulance and vote. There are 576 wards in a total of 6 municipal corporations, including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surat, Jamnagar, and Bhavnagar. So there are 1,14,67,358 voters in these 6 municipal corporations. You will know that in this election, along with BJP and Congress, the Aam Aadmi Party and AIMIM are also on the fray. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see who wins.
