Raipur: Union Minister of State for Food, Industry and Jal Shakti Prahlad Singh Patel on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the Congress in Chhattisgarh. He said, Congress is bent on bankrupting Chhattisgarh. Due to this, he advised the Congress government to use the money sent by the Centre properly. Prahlad Singh Patel said that the state is being burdened with debt and the government is giving paddy bonuses. After his statement on the paddy bonus, the temperature of Chhattisgarh's politics has gone up. Congress has hit back at his statement.

In fact, the by-election is to be held in the Khairagarh assembly seat of Chhattisgarh. For which the leaders have started mobilization. While Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is campaigning in the area, the BJP has fielded Union ministers in the by-election. In the Khairagarh assembly, there are more people from the Lodhi community, so the BJP is engaged in polarising the Lodhi voters. Union Minister of State for Food, Industry and Jal Shakti Prahlad Singh Patel also comes from this community. Minister of State Prahlad Singh Patel had arrived here to attend a meeting in support of the BJP candidate at Amlidih in Khairagarh.

After the public meeting, he said that the Centre had given Rs.1431 crore to the state government for the Jal Shakti's mission, but the government did not give any benefit to the people. Due to this, on the lines of Prime Minister Modi, described himself as a watchman and said that it is necessary to expose the hypocrisy of the Congress. He said that the Congress government here has not done anything on the basis of which they can seek votes. Due to this, he said that Congress has announced to make Khairagarh a district out of fear. If the Bhupesh Government had to do this, then why was the government waiting for more than three years to form the government? The Congress government should answer this to the people. Congress has condemned the union minister of state for food, industry and jal shakti Prahlad Singh Patel's statement on paddy procurement. The Congress hit back, saying that the BJP is of the view that giving more money to the farmers is to make the state bankrupt. The party accused former Chief Minister Raman Singh of cheating the farmers. He said the Raman Singh government did not give Rs 300 paddy bonus to farmers. He said the statement of The Union Minister of State for Food, Industry and Jal Shakti Prahlad Singh Patel highlights the mindset of the BJP.
