New Delhi: The suspension of eight opposition MPs who have created a ruckus in the upper house is still continuing. Amidst the opposition's appeal, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi has said that if MPs apologise for their behaviour, the suspension can be withdrawn. The minister said that the September 20 incident has been witnessed by the entire country. Prahlad Joshi said that MPs who have been suspended from the House should apologise. But they are not willing to do so.

Prahlad Joshi said that "We too do not want to run the house without opposition. On that day, 110 NDA MPs signed the register in the House and only 27 Congress MPs, 7 TMC MPs signed. So they are lying that the government did not have the number to pass the bill". Apart from Prahlad Joshi, another Union Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot also attacked the opposition. He said that "The opposition leaders held the chair responsible for the 20th incident and they should withdraw their statements".

Minister Gehlot said that action has been taken under the rules on behalf of the Chair. What happened was not correct, but if MPs apologise for their behaviour, the suspension could be withdrawn.
