Lucknow: The Congress has suffered a major setback in the run-up to the assembly by-elections in Uttar Pradesh. Annu Tandon, MP from Unnao Lok Sabha seat, has resigned from Congress. It is being told that Annu may join the Samajwadi Party (SP) headed by Akhilesh Yadav. However, now she said, "I have not determined anything. I will decide with thought."

In a letter sent to the Congress high command, Annu Tandon has alleged that her coordination with the state leadership is not proper. She said that it was not so painful for me to lose the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, as much as the destruction of the party organization and seeing it shattered. The state leadership is engaged in social media management and personal branding.

Former MP from Unnao Lok Sabha seat Annu Tandon said that despite my good intentions, false propaganda is being propagated by some people about me, which has been a great experience for me, the trouble is more when the leadership stops her. No steps are being taken. I spoke to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, but no solution was found. Therefore, I have decided to resign.
