Unstoppable Corey Anderson Guides San Francisco Unicorns to Win over MI New York

Dallas: San Francisco Unicorns defeated MI New York by a score of 22 runs on Saturday (July 15) in Dallas after an amazing 129-run stand between Corey Anderson and Shadab Khan off just 57 deliveries. The result was a high-scoring game with more than 400 runs totaled throughout both innings on a pitch that appeared favorable for batting. However, the new ball had some nip, and Unicorns dropped to 50/4 in the seventh over.

From that point on, Anderson and Shadab launched a spectacular response, combining aggressive ball-striking with deft field manipulation to put the pressure back on the New York bowlers. It was difficult to stop the onslaught once it had begun, and by the time the partnership was dissolved, the harm had already been done.

Despite Shadab being out, Anderson continued to bat, and Tajinder Dhillon provided a superb finish to push the total far above the 200-run score.

Despite the formidable target, MI New York's imposing batting lineup had what it took to take it out. Unfortunately, they didn't get off to the best start, and after a powerplay that wasn't very impressive, they were always playing catch-up.

Although Kieron Pollard, Tim David, and Nicholas Pooran all delivered some power hitting, most of it came at the end of the game. The conditions were far better utilized by unicorn bowlers than by their competitors.

Corey Anderson was given man of the match as he scored 91(52) with seven sixes and took his team to 215 with Shadab Khan who scored 61(30) with 5 sixes. Later Tajinder Dhillon gave a perfect end to Unicorns's innings.
