All schools to remain closed amid rising cases of coronavirus: Yogi Govt

Lucknow: UP's Yogi Adityanath government took a major decision on Monday at a meeting. The government has announced the closure of all schools up to 8th in the state by March 31. It has been decided to close schools from 9th to 12th march from 25th to 31st March.

The decision has been taken in view of the rising covid-19 Holi in the state. Central Yogi Adityanath took the decision in a meeting with basic education and secondary education department officials on Monday evening. The order says that the order will apply to all kinds of education holders (educational institutions). Whether it is government or non-government. However, in other educational institutions like degree colleges, if examinations have been started. They will continue as before. The decision on those institutions is not going to be effective. In addition, all colleges are also going to remain closed.

There were 542 new covid virus cases in UP on Monday. After which the number of active cases has gone up to 3396. If you talk about the death toll, 8760 people have died from corona in the entire state so far.
