Kanpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to meet with officials from the Health Department in Kanpur on Wednesday to discuss the Zika virus situation in the city.

"Today, the Chief Minister will arrive." We are running a Zika virus control camp and awareness campaign with the health department in advance of his arrival," said KD Tiwari, a Kanpur Municipal Corporation official. "People are becoming more aware of how this virus spreads and how it can be prevented." Mosquito nets and long-sleeved clothing have been recommended. They were also advised not to allow water to stagnate in any location. The municipal corporation team is fogging and cleaning the area," he added. "The virus was reported in 13 cases yesterday," Tiwari added.

According to the district's Chief Health Official, the cumulative Zika Virus tally in Kanpur reached 105 on Tuesday. Following the meeting, the Chief Minister will pay a visit to a family infected with the virus in the city. Mild fever, rashes, conjunctivitis, muscle and joint pain, malaise, or a headache are symptoms of this disease, which is caused by a virus transmitted primarily by the Aedes mosquito, which bites during the day.
