Lucknow: Eventhe birthday of Mulayam Singh Yadav, founder and former CM of The Samajwadi Party (SP), could not unite the Yadav family. Earlier, it was believed that the political kinks between uncle Shivpal Yadav and nephew Akhilesh Yadav would be resolved on Mulayam's birthday. But Shivpal Yadav has placed a condition and demand for seats on the alliance with the SP which is not easy for Akhilesh Yadav to approve. In such a situation, all hopes and scope for an alliance or merger between the SP and the Progressive Samajwadi Party (PRASP) seem to be fading away?

Tell me Akhilesh Yadav is trying to return to power with all his life. For the past few days, Akhilesh's tunes had shown softness towards Uncle Shivpal. He had also told the public forum several times that uncle would have full respect, uncle would be with us in the political battle. Not only that, Akhilesh was also talking about adjusting to shivpal's close and strong leaders. Shivpal Yadav, on the other hand, had also talked about moving beyond the alliance with the SP to the merger. Shivpal has publicly demanded 100 seats for the first time in the saifai riot programme on Mulayam's birthday in the condition of alliance with Akhilesh.

Shivpal Yadav said that he has discussed the alliance with Akhilesh Yadav and we had sought 100 seats not from our party but also from other parties. Tickets were to be given to other parties and old socialist grassroots leaders, but there was no response from Akhilesh Yadav. On the other hand, Akhilesh is said to be willing to give shivpal only 10-12 seats, while the demand is 100 seats.
