Power engineers to work continuously for 56 hours in Uttar Pradesh from today

Lucknow: From September 8, the entire state's engineers and promoted under-engineers will work continuously for 56 hours to protest against privatisation. Talking to media, The Central President of the State Electricity Council Junior Engineer Organisation, GB Patel and Union General Secretary Jai Prakash said that the government is being helped as a first-ever agitation against any problems.

It will improve the energy situation and curb privatisation. A number of teams of the organization have been formed to conduct surprise inspections of the Co-operation Satyagraha. The lower engineers and the promoted under-engineer will tell the users about their demands. Speaking on the occasion, the organization's central patron Satyanam Singh said that a number of proposals were made to improve the energy area, which were not fully implemented. 

On the other hand, four more patients died on Monday from COVID-19 in Kanpur city of the state. 234 new infected found. The total death toll from the infection has gone up to 489. The patients who died were also suffering from diabetes, hypertension and many other diseases along with the infection. A total of 17583 infected and 13074 patients have been cured. These include infection-free people in hospitals and home isolation. Active cases are 4020. Two infected have died and one each at Kanshiram Hospital and Air Force Hospital.
