Lucknow: The government of Uttar Pradesh has ordered the urea supply companies to fix the defective point of sale devices immediately. Special supply is being monitored on the supply of fertilizer from the state headquarters level in all cities. All the collectors and commissioners have been instructed to conduct raids continuously so that fraud can be curbed.

Those who tag lesser products with main fertilizer or over-rating will be punished in all circumstances. Additional Chief Secretary Dr Devesh Chaturvedi said that "8-10 per cent of the Pos devices have been compromised in various cities. Only the fertilizer companies have these equipment installed at the dealer. Therefore, they have been ordered that wherever the problem of malfunctioning equipment is found, they should be promptly corrected, which does not affect the sale of fertilizer".

Dr Chaturvedi said in his statement that "There is no problem of fertilizer anywhere in the state. Urea is being distributed by seeing the Aadhar card number. No manure is being given more than the prescribed quantity. And that's why people have to wait in lines to collect the prescribed fertilizers. He said that strict action will be taken against whichever dealer or cooperative committees will give fertilizer without filling in the details. Strict orders have been given by the CM to fix the malfunctioning machines in the state.
