Lucknow: Objections have been lodged on the reservation list issued for the three-tier panchayat elections to be held in UP. Objections are to be taken by 8 March. After which the final reservation list of all the gram panchayats will be published by March 15, while disposing them on 12 March. After getting the final list of reservations, the State Election Commission is going to issue a notification for the Panchayat elections on March 25-26. According to the information, the process of nomination admission can begin after Holi. This time there is a possibility of panchayat elections in four phases.

There has been a history of violence: It has been learned that old history of violence and disturbance has been made in the Panchayat elections to be held to form the village government. Therefore, the State Election Commission is making every effort to conduct peaceful elections this time. In this sequence, State Election Commissioner Manoj Kumar is going to have a meeting with the Additional Chief Secretary Home and DGP along with his other officials. Several issues are being discussed in the meeting, including the supply of illegal liquor to woo voters, the smuggling of arms to spoil the atmosphere, etc. Not only this, but the deployment of the police force in sensitive districts should also be discussed.

Next week meeting between the government and elections: According to the information received, Additional Election Commissioner Ved Prakash Verma said that in this meeting with Additional Chief Secretary Home and DGP next week, the sensitivity of the mandal and district-wise before the elections is to be assessed. After this, a decision will also be made keeping in mind the availability of security forces, their movement and the time it takes to reach the deployment site, and which districts of which division were included in this phase of election in four phases. 

This time one district will be voting on the lines of one phase: but this time the Election Commission has prepared to conduct elections on the lines of one district one phase. Under this, there will be voting in the same phase for all the posts in the districts under all the mandals. State Election Commission has also issued instructions to DM and Mandalayukta of all districts in this regard.
