Lucknow: A case has been registered under the National Security Act (NSA) against three accused, including the mastermind who was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the leak of paper in Ballia of English subject in the board examination of intermediates conducted by the Council of Secondary Education in Uttar Pradesh. With the permission of Ballia DM, Ballia police have taken action under NSA Act against the mastermind of the case, Nirbhay Narayan Singh, manager of Mehraji Devi Memorial Inter College Bhimpura and copying mafias Raju alias Rajiv Prajapati and Ravindra Nath Singh.

It is worth mentioning that before the English exam held on March 30, 2022, due to the publication of the question paper on social media, the examination of English subject had to be cancelled in 24 districts of the state. A case in this regard was registered at Bhimpura and Nagra police stations of Ballia. In view of the seriousness of the acts of the accused concerned, the accused Ravinder Nath Singh, Nirbhay Narayan Singh and Raju alias Rajiv Prajapati were detained by the DM under Section 3(2) of the NSA.

Action has also been taken against Vinay Pandey, former director of secondary education in this paper leak case. CM Yogi Adityanath has suspended him for not discharging his duties. In the same case, some time ago (on April 21), Vinay Pandey was removed from the post of Director of Secondary Education.
