Lucknow: Forest Minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, Dr Amit Saxena, nephew of Arun Kumar Saxena, has been arrested and jailed by Bareilly police after being reprimanded by CM Yogi Adityanath today. In fact, on the evening of October 12, Amit Saxena, son of Anil Saxena, younger brother of the Forest Minister, vandalised a restaurant in an inebriated state and created a ruckus. Even after explaining several times, Amit Saxena abused the employees and tried to run over the employees present in the restaurant with his car in an inebriated state.
In this entire incident, the CCTV video went viral on social media. After CM Yogi lashed out, police officials registered a case and arrested the accused and sent him to jail. This is not the first time that Amit Saxena, nephew of Forest Minister Arun Kumar Saxena, has created such a ruckus. Earlier this year, he had been in controversy after he barged into the police station and misbehaved and assaulted a home guard. Police officials also avoided action as the matter was related to a political family.
This time, as soon as the matter caught on, the CM's office swung into action. A case was registered after CM Yogi's rebuke. It is also being discussed that during this entire process, no recommendation came from the political family and from anywhere in favour of Amit Saxena. The police department benefited from this well and without delay, taking the legal process forward, Amit Saxena was sent to jail this afternoon after undergoing a medical check-up at the district hospital.
