New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal announced during a press conference on October 14 that special preparations have been made for Chhath Puja this year. He has told that the AAP government will spend Rs 25 crore on Chhath this time. Kejriwal said that arrangements will be made to celebrate Chhath Puja this time at 1,100 places in Delhi.
CM Kejriwal said that Rs 25 crore will be spent on celebrating Chhath Puja at 1,100 places. The entire expenditure will be borne by the Delhi government. Recalling that Chhath Puja was celebrated in only 69 places in 2014 before the AAP government was formed in Delhi. At that time, the Delhi government had spent only Rs 2.5 crore. CM Kejriwal said that Chhath puja could not be held in public for the last 2 years due to corona epidemic, but this time it will be celebrated with pomp. Kejriwal said that ever since our government was formed, we have been celebrating this festival in a grand manner.
AAP's official Twitter handle has informed that on October 30 and 31, the Delhi government will celebrate the Chhath festival with pomp. Let us know that like every year, security preparations have been made this time too. In which Delhi Police will make its full contribution. On this festival, like every year, tents, LED screens, sound systems, and chair tables will be arranged so that devotees do not face problems.
