New Delhi: The Election Commission (ECI) has geared up for assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. Today, the Election Commission can announce the election schedule of these two states. The Election Commission has called a press conference at 3 pm. However, according to sources, today the Election Commission can only announce the schedule of the Himachal Pradesh elections and the schedule of the Gujarat elections can be announced after Diwali.  

For the last several days, different political parties have been trying to establish their supremacy in these states. The focus will be on the Gujarat elections. At the same time, in Himachal, the BJP will put all its efforts to come again. Elections will be held in 68 seats in Himachal Pradesh and 182 seats in Gujarat. Both these states are currently ruled by the BJP. In Himachal, the main fight will be between the BJP and the Congress, while in Gujarat, the entry of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is making the contest triangular. Party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have been visiting Gujarat continuously for the last several days.   

Let us know that the dates of the elections in Gujarat, which were held five years ago, were announced on October 25. At that time, in the 182-seat Assembly elections in Gujarat, the BJP had won a majority by winning 99 seats, while the Congress got 80 seats. Even at that time, Rahul Gandhi campaigned fiercely in the state for PM Modi and Congress on behalf of the BJP in the elections.
