Opposition parties have begun to surround the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh in the case of the death of the Unnao rape victim. Angry over the death of the Unnao rape victim, Congress workers protested in front of the assembly and BJP headquarters on Saturday. First, these workers demonstrated in front of BJP headquarters and after that, the workers sat in front of the gate and started shouting slogans. On this, the police lathi-charged the Congress workers. During this, police lathi lashed at Congress workers.

According to the media report, upon the removal of the police, Congress workers reached in front of the assembly and started sitting there on the road. During the protest, activists shouted slogans against the state government. Congress workers accused the BJP government of not being able to stop the deteriorating law and order and the atrocities of daughters. Women activists also participated in the demonstration. Earlier, Samajwadi Party president and former CM Akhilesh Yadav sat on a protest outside the assembly in the Unnao case.

During his statement, Akhilesh said, 'The government is responsible for the death of Unnao's daughter. The matter was in the knowledge of the government, yet could not do anything. It is said that we could not get the daughter to get justice. We helped the victim's family with Rs 1 lakh. The amount of condemnation of the Unnao incident is less. There have been many incidents of rape during the tenure of the BJP government in UP. Daughters are not safe in the Yogi government. Despite all efforts, the victim could not be saved. Along with Akhilesh Yadav, SP leader Rajendra Chaudhary was also sat on protest.
