Lucknow: Due to the Corona crisis, Independence Day is being celebrated in a normal way across India, including Delhi-NCR on Saturday. Congressmen burnt an effigy of BJP's national spokesperson Sambit Patra after hoisting the flag of former PM Jawaharlal Nehru at Atarpura Chaupala in Hapur near Delhi. His demand is to file a case against BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra in the death of Congress spokesperson Rajiv Tyagi.

On receiving the information, a large number of BJP workers reached the Atarpura police post, and a noise was demanded to file a case against the Congressmen. According to the information received, on Saturday morning, a large number of Congress officials and workers reached Atarpura Chaupale, and shouted slogans and burnt the effigy of Sambit Patra at Atarpura Chaupala. Due to this, Congressmen said that action should be taken by filing a case against BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra in the case of the death of Congress spokesperson Rajiv Tyagi.

At some distance, BJP officials and workers were hoisting the flag at the statue of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. When they received information about this, all reached the Atarpura police post and created a ruckus. On receiving Tahrir, Inspector Subodh Saxena, Inspector in-charge of the police station reached the checkpoint, and held talks with the BJP. BJP district general minister Puneet Goel, divisional president Vineet Dewan, Praveen Sinhal etc. said that there is a lockdown, and in such a situation, the effigy should not be burnt. It is a violation of instructions. Inspector in-charge of the police station assured that action will be taken after investigating the case. The BJP returned on this. The same is now being investigated on this matter.
