Lucknow: The UP government, the country's largest state, has made it clear that schools will be closed again if the corona situation worsens in the state. The government has also said that attendance will not be necessary for students. On this side, students will still have the option to participate in online classes. It may be recalled that schools for classes 6 to 8 in UP will be opened from August 23, 2021. Offline classes for classes 9 to 12 are started from 12th August 2021.

UP Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said schools may be closed on the basis of the epidemic situation in the state. At the same time, he also clarified that the Government has not required attendance for classes IX to XII also. In addition, the Government has also announced to open schools for classes 1 to 5 from 1st September 2021. The Deputy Chief Minister also said that several parents, teachers, and political organizations have also demanded the reintroduction of offline classes for students.

The Deputy Chief Minister further said, "The present atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh is adequately safe but if there is any indication of any concern in connection with corona, we can close the schools again.'' Tell you that the number of active corona patients in UP at present is 419. The total number of immunization doses in the state is 6,14,03,353.
