Yogi government prepares for Independence Day, decision stirs up policeman

Lucknow: The vacation of employees of the concerned department, including the police, has been cancelled till 15th August by the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh to maintain peace and order during the Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day. Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Dr. Anup Chandra Pandey has issued a statement directing the cancellation of leave of other concerned government officials, including the police, and said that other necessary arrangements including peace and order are being ensured during the upcoming festivals. By The Neger Independent Day, other concerned department personnel, including the police, will not get any leave.

Bakaryad will be celebrated on August 12 while the defence bond is coming on August 15. However, in view of the law and order situation in the state, the Yogi government has taken a major decision to cancel the holidays in government offices by 15th of August.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Dr. A statement in this regard was issued by Anup Chandra Pandey on Sunday. The statement also directed the concerned government officials, including the police, to cancel the leave. More from our correspondent: "The day of Independence will also be celebrated on the occasion of The Raksha Bandhan.
