LUCKNOW: The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has decided to hold Ramayana and Durga Saptshati recitations in each district throughout the approaching Navratri festival. The first day of Chaitra Navratri is March 22.

The government would provide each district with a fund of Rs 1 lakh for these events, and a letter in this respect has been addressed to the district magistrates and divisional commissioners of every district. Throughout Navratri, there will be special activities at all Shaktipeeths and temples.

The programmes will begin from March 22 and will continue till March 30. Several Programs will be organised by the government at the district, tehsil, and block levels. 

By March 21st, the officers are to have finished all of the preparations. Instructions have also been issued to distribute images, contact information, and the names and addresses of the temples where the programmes will be held. To enable these programmes run smoothly, two nodal officers have also been designated at the state level in relation to this.
Making sure that women and girls participate in these programmes has received a lot of attention. Whatever programmes will be organised in the temples, their images will be displayed on the website of the Culture Department.
Notably, the UP  government is providing one lakh rupees to each district for these events. Hoardings will be put up for wide publicity of these programmes. It will also be publicized on social media. Not only this, two nodal officers have also been appointed at the state level, who will help in successful completion of these programmes.

Detailed guidelines for these events has already been issued. During Navratri, special care has been taken to ensure better arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, light, sound etc.
