A legislator from the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has targeted a member of the opposition party during the vote on nominee Chen Chu. Kuomintang (KMT) MPs later threw water balloons at the speakers' podium, forcing their DPP colleagues to make plastic raincoats and cardboard shields.
