Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board has started the recruitment process for 15508 posts of teachers in state-aided secondary schools after a long wait of four years from Thursday. Online forms for the recruitment of 12913 Trained Graduate (TGT) and 2595 posts of Spokesperson (PGT) have also been made available on the selection board website. Candidates can register by 27 November.
The last date for submission of online fees has also been kept to 27 November. Completing all the formalities, the last date for submission of the form has been fixed as 30 November. The selection board had sent a proposal to recruit 12949 posts of TGT and 2609 of PGT as well as 1453 total 17011 posts of Principal. Due to the adjustment of some posts and non-commencement of recruitment of principals, the number of vacancies has decreased slightly.
According to sources, applications for the recruitment of principals will also start soon. The target is to complete the appointment process before July 2021. For the first time, 10% reservation has been given to the candidates belonging to Economically Weaker (EWS) category. The Selection Board has made it clear that the benefit of any reservation is permissible only for the residents of Uttar Pradesh.
