These days, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Citizenship Register (NRC) are being opposed everywhere and many Bollywood celebrities are not only against it. In such a situation, recently, the actress and former Congress leader Urmila Matondkar has called the CAA a black law. Speaking on Mahatma Gandhi's death anniversary, Urmila said- 'One thing I think you should tell is who was the person who opened fire on Gandhiji, was the person a Muslim, was he a Sikh or a Christian?' That person was a Hindu. Now apart from this, what can I say about this here because this thing is so terrible for all of us, it is so terrible to keep this thing in mind every morning in the morning that many things are involved in this matter.

With this, he also said that after the end of the Second World War in 1919, the British knew that discontent was spreading in India and that dissatisfaction was coming out, so they had brought a law. The name of that law is quite long but it became famous as the Rowlatt Act because that law was brought by the delegation of Rowlett. According to that law, the government was allowed to put any person in jail for doing anti-national activities without any questioning and proof.

Even then Urmila did not stop and she further said, 'This law was quite dangerous. That is the 1919 law and today the CAA law of 2019. Both these laws will be recorded in the name of black law in history. Today, the way people are getting on the way and the way people were on the way at that time, I have not seen that time but the way I have read it reminds me of that. These laws are against the poor and that the poor can be any poor person. It is felt that this law is against Muslims. But other than that, today, trying to curb them by telling 85 percent Hindus the fear of 15 percent Muslims. As you all may know, apart from Urmila, many Bollywood stars have also voiced against CAA-NRC including Anurag Kashyap, Taapsee Pannu, Richa Chaddha, Ali Fazal, Vishal Bhardwaj, Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, Anubhav Sinha, Swara Bhaskar.
