A US lawmaker praised the efforts India and the US made together against terrorism. He appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked him for making the country its friend. In the US House of Representatives on Tuesday night, Republican John Carter not only advocated strong diplomatic relations between the US and India, but also said that the relationship between the two countries shares important values inherent in democracy.

Carter, a Republican from Texas, from the Republican Party said, "India and America are combating all forms of terrorism jointly." I commend the efforts made by India and the United States in the elimination of terrorism. I thank Prime Minister Modi wholeheartedly for being a friend of America, Carter said, referring to his recent meeting with the Consulate General of India in Houston, saying that both countries are helping each other together. Carter went on to say, "President Trump, who visited India in February, was not only warmly welcomed but also addressed more than one lakh people there. During this time the President also discussed the things in which both he and PM Narendra Modi are working together."

As everyone knows, US President Donald Trump visited India in late February on a two-day tour. During this time he also attended Namaste Trump Seminar at Motera Stadium in Gujarat. He was accompanied by his wife Melania and daughter Ivanka Trump. Trump also expressed confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech that he would tackle terrorism. President Trump had, during this time, assured further cooperation with India on the issue of terrorism. And also claimed this friendship between America and India to last forever.
