Washington: US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has once again taken a big aim at China. Pompeo has claimed that China has deployed more than 60,000 troops on India's northern border, and has continued to behave badly. Foreign ministers from Indo-Pacific countries are known as the Quad Group.
The meeting between the US, Japan, India and Australia was held in Tokyo on Tuesday, their first private conversation since the corona virus epidemic began. The meeting was held against the backdrop of China's aggressive behavior on the Indo-Pacific, the South China Sea and the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. In an interview after returning from Tokyo on Friday, Pompeo said that "Indians are seeing 60,000 Chinese soldiers on the northern outskirts."
"I was with my counterparts from India, Australia and Japan and we discussed this issue," pompeo met Foreign Minister S Jaishankar in Tokyo on Tuesday and underlined the need to work together for advance, peace, prosperity and security in the Indo-Pacific and around the world. He described his meeting with Jaishankar as spectacular.
