US takes tough measures against China, ban on visa's of Chinese officials

New Delhi: US President Donald Trump has taken a strong stand against China since he took power. He imposed many commercial restrictions on China. Now America has taken another big step against China. The US yesterday said on Tuesday that it would take visas of Chinese officials on hold. "The US appeals to China to immediately stop its campaign of repression in Xinjiang," US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement urging him to stop atrocities on minority Muslims. The US has accused China of high-tech surveillance and harsh control of Uygar Muslims in the western region of Xinjiang.

Pompeo said, "The Chinese government has tried hard to control the Uygar, Kazakh and Kyrg minority Muslims in Xinjiang." The US Secretary of State said, "China has largely placed minority Muslims in detention camps. Their cultural and religious identity is being tightly controlled. Various restrictions are being imposed on people returning from abroad and strict monitoring is being done.

Earlier, the US included 28 organizations in China on the United States blacklist. This was attributed to their role in human rights abuses.
