According to the Ministry of Electronics and its Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN), Google Chrome users can be victims of cyber attacks on users due to security flaws in the browser.
CERT-IN has issued this alert for all Chrome browser users. The agency has given a high rating for its severity. CERT-IN has reported that a lot of flaws have been noticed in Google Chrome, with the help of which hackers can target the system. According to the agency, cyber attackers can target users by taking advantage of these loopholes. These problems have been spotted in earlier versions of Google Chrome 98.0.4758.80. CERT-IN suggests that these problems are related to safe browsing, raider mode, web search, thumbnail tap strip, screen capture, window dialogue, payment, extension, accessibility and cast, incorrect implementation of full-screen mode, scrolling, extension platforms, and pointer lock.
However, Google has released an update to address these problems and bugs. Details of bugs fixes are not disclosed. Google has reported that the latest update removes 27 security-related issues. According to reports, information related to bugs will be shared only after the latest updates reach most people. If you're using an older version of Google Chrome, update it immediately. On February 1, it was informed by Google that the latest update has been rolled out and will reach the users in the coming days.
