Earlier, the last date for implementation of FASTag was December 01, but due to incomplete preparations and only 14 % of the vehicles were fastened, it was postponed to 15 December.

Ramkumar, a resident of Manesar, Gurugram, said that he took FASTag for the car and went towards Gurugram on the bus, but as soon as he passed under the toll, the balance was cut from the FASTag kept in his bag. People have also complained on social media that as soon as toll plaza passes, money is automatically deducted from the FASTag kept in their bag or pocket.

On the dashboard of a friend's car, he kept the FASTag of his another car, while crossing the toll, his FASTag also cut money. He complained to the toll employees, but no result was found.
