Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, rain is raining from the sky as well as demise. According to the report, a total of 18 people have lost their lives due to lightning in the last two days in Uttar Pradesh. According to information, 12 people died due to lightning on Tuesday, including 7 in Kaushambi and 5 in Prayagraj. On Monday, some six people had died, of which four were registered in Ghazipur and two in Bhadohi. According to information, five persons have lost their lives in Chail tehsil in Kaushambi, while one person each has died in Manjhanpur tehsil and Sirathu.
According to Kaushambi SP Hemraj Meena, the deceased has been identified as Bitton Devi (60), Basant Pasi (45), Munna (13), Dharmendra (33), Ranjana Devi (19), Ramprasad (50) and Laxmi Devi (50). Apart from this, one death each has been reported in the Gopiganj and Aurai police station areas of the district in Bhadohi. Officials said that among the dead in Bhadohi were Adarsh Yadav (10) of the Aurai area and Kusum Devi (33) of Gopiganj, who died on Monday.
State CM Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the loss of lives and property due to lightning. CM Yogi has directed to provide financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the family of each of the deceased in Bhadohi and Kaushambi. According to Prayagraj district officials, five people lost their lives and four were injured in lightning strikes on Tuesday. According to police, four people, including three cousins, lost their lives due to lightning in separate incidents in Ghazipur.
