Lucknow: An accused in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun escaped from the custody of the police after taking out his hand with handcuffs. The police tried hard to nab the accused, but he has not been traced so far. The home guard and the constable had brought the two miscreants from a private bus to Badaun for medical tests. As soon as he got off the bus, one of the accused pulled out his hand with handcuffs and fled. 

The meow outpost in charge of the Alapur police station area, Dhananjay Pandey, had arrested two suspects during a search on Wednesday night. During the search, the police recovered knives from them. The police registered a case against both of them. The accused, Sarvesh and Deepak Sharma, were being brought to Badaun for medical tests around 3 pm on Thursday. Both the accused had handcuffs in their hands. Constable Devendra and home guard Rampal boarded a private bus and brought them from Alapur police station to the Police Line intersection. From here, both of them were going to the district hospital for a medical test on foot in the front of the Badaun Club. 

But after some time, suddenly Sarvesh pulled out his hand from the handcuff and ran away. Constable Devendra also ran after them, but could not catch the accused. SP Nagar Praveen Singh Chauhan said that a search has been launched for the accused. Constable Devendra Kumar Pal has been immediately suspended due to negligence on the part of both the employees in this regard. A report has been sent to district commandant home guard Badaun to take action against home guard Rampal. The absconding accused will be arrested soon.
