Lucknow: A shocking case has come to light from Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a brother-in-law has cut his sister-in-law's throat. After this, the accused brother-in-law himself committed suicide by jumping in front of the train. Seriously injured sister-in-law has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. From there she has been referred to Jhansi Medical College.
This case is related to Madaun village under the Jakhlaun police station area. According to the relatives of the injured sister-in-law, son-in-law Nagendra was staying at his in-laws' house for the last two months. On Thursday all the people of the house had gone out for some work. The girl and son-in-law were alone at home. Finding the sister-in-law alone at home, Nagendra tried to rape her. But, the girl opposed it. On failing to execute the crime, brother-in-law Nagendra cut the neck of his sister-in-law with a sharp weapon. After this, the accused brother-in-law Nagendra escaped from the spot and jumped in front of the train, and committed suicide. The family members who reached the spot got the injured girl admitted to the district hospital for treatment. In view of her critical condition, doctors have referred her to Jhansi Medical College.
According to the report, Lalitpur's Superintendent of Police (SP) Gopal Krishna Chowdhary has informed that 'A case of throat-slitting of a girl has come to light in Jakhlaun police station area.' According to the complaint of the relatives, the brother-in-law wanted to rape the sister-in-law. But after being unsuccessful, in a fit of rage, he slit his sister-in-law's neck with a sharp weapon. At present, the condition of the girl is said to be stable.
