When vow fulfilled, devotee offered silver door of 101 kg in this temple

Lucknow: At the famous Maa Vindhyavasani temple at Vindhyachal in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, a devotee has offered a door made of 101 kg of silver on fulfilment of his wish. At the entrance to the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, this silver door has been installed at the main gate after chanting of Vedic mantras. The price of the door is said to be 80 lakh rupees.  

This door is five and a half feet long and two feet wide. It has been built by the artisans of Rajasthan. Five artisans were also brought in from the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan to install the silver door. In the temple where the silver door was installed, there was a brass gate first. Devotees who donate silver doors are residents of Ranchi. On this occasion, special worship and mass dinners have been organized in the court of Mata Vindhyavasini. Devotee Sanjay Chaudhary has given a public statement that he has been coming from Ranchi to Vindhyachal for almost 25 years. Sanjay both come with the family in Navratri to pay obeisance to Mata Vindhyavasini.

It was during Navratri that he resolved in his mind that one day he would offer a silver door in the mother's sanctum sanctorum. Sanjay said that with the blessings of his mother, the resolve to install a silver gate was fulfilled. In the month of August last year, a Bihar minister had offered a one-kg gold crown and a leg to Mother Vidhyavasini. Its price was estimated at Rs 50 lakh. Vidhyavasini Darbar is the centre of the faith of millions of devotees. Even on normal days, devotees in thousands of people come here for darshan-pujan and ask for a vow to fulfil their wishes.
